Designated as part of the nation's Important Cultural Property, Uchiko-za is a two-storied wooden kabuki theater built in 1916.
Today, the theater celebrates its 100th anniversary, and still serves as the stage for various cultural activities. The inside and backstage areas are open to the public when there are no performances taking place.
